Madagascar School Sponsorship

Children in Madagascar have many roadblocks in order to attend school and as Hery puts it, “life is hard here.” Families must overcome poverty and the opportunity to send their child to work or to bigger cities, difficult farming and drought conditions, poor health and diet, rural districts and long distances from schools and of course school fees. With your help It Takes One has been able to sponsor 6 children to attend school for the last 2 years with 5 making the hard task of being able to continue their studies. This is no small undertaking!! Even just getting supplies to the village is tough as the journey is long, expensive, and Hery himself has had to overcome health challenges related to the environment such as malaria, diptheria, and urinary stones. Congrats to these 5 for their hard work and dedication and to Hery for helping to make it happen. Hery has also been able to deliver school supplies to the children in his village the Spiny Forest and is committed to helping his community. All photos on this page have been provided by Hery throughout his journeys.

Education provides opportunity, confidence, empowerment, income for families and contributes to healthy communities and individuals, especially for women and in rural areas. Thank you for all your support!
